Top 5 Best Dressed on PGA Tour – 2018

Here at Drive the Green Golf, we talk about a golfer’s style on the course quite a bit so I thought writing this article would be easy peasy.  Boy was I wrong – narrowing it down to 5 was extremely difficult.  There are many eligible candidates for this list and personal opinions obviously come into play here as John Daly may make your list but unfortunately isn’t on mine.  This is the list of style ON the golf course so without further ado, let’s get into it.

Rafa Cabrera Bello

That yellow hat he wears sometimes is all he needs to make this list. That thing RULES.  Titleist makes the best hats out of anybody and it ain’t close.  His Oakley shirts and sunnies are pretty nice as well.  Oakley a bit underrated in the golf attire conversations.  Being tall, dark and handsome helps the guy out as well but style game still very much on point.

Tony Finau

It’s nice to see a bit of a different take on the traditional golf attire and Tony provides that. The flat-brimmed hats are a nice start which he pulls off with ease.  Sponsored by Nike, he has a plethora of good-looking shirts to choose from.  Not only shirts, but remember last year at the Valspar when he rocked that retro Nike hoodie? That was awesome.  His pants may not be everyone’s cup of tea but if you just choose to look from the ankle up then they are nice.  Tony also goes with the new-school golf shoes and even showed Kobe Bryant some love last year by sporting the purple and gold Nike’s.

Rickie Fowler

If I had made this list in 2013 I don’t think Rick makes the cut but he has come a long way from the orange jumpsuit days. Puma suits this guy to a tee and he looks good in it.  I especially enjoy their new hats with just the large P on the front.  His shirts are always nice-looking, even the orange ones.  Rick also likes to sprinkle in some Cobra gear and maybe grow the occasional muzzy to keep everyone guessing on his style.  Can’t forget him rocking the knickers in 2014 as a tribute to the late great Payne Stewart either.

Dustin Johnson

So what if he wears blue on blue 90% of the time? He looks damn good doing so.  From head to toe he is always looking classy.  Usually keeps it pretty simple with the white Taylor Made hats but spices it up by slightly changing the hue of blue on his Adidas shirts and pants.  Shoe game also on point.  Also, a more underrated article of clothing that he always nails – belts.  The guy knows how to pick out a belt.  Or maybe Paulina does…

Adam Scott

You could probably drape this guy in velvet or dress him in a bunch of dirty old rags tied together and he would still look good. However, his style is still excellent.  Sponsored by a rather unknown company called Uniqlo, the people there know how to make a nice looking golf shirt.  Pair that with his often-differing Titleist hats and sharp looking golf pants and he earns spot #1 for me.  He is also one of the most fashionable off the course and looks pretty darn good in a certain green jacket.  Not quite as good as Mike Weir but close.

Honourable Mentions

Billy Horschel – This guy probably deserves to be on the list but his style just doesn’t appeal to me personally.  But the pink pants and stylish shirts he wears would get him on most people’s lists.

Tiger Woods – Sunday red isn’t quite enough to get him into my top 5.

Ryan Moore – Just because you wear cardigans and ties all the time doesn’t mean you are stylish.  It’s unique for sure and he earns points for that but still doesn’t quite crack my top 5.

Alex Noren – He dresses nice.

Brooks Koepka – Was on my list until recently wearing a maternity sweater of sorts and flood pants at the CJ Cup. He gone.

John Daly – Is anyone more noticeable or talked about with regards to style? Nope. That almost got him on my list.

Mike Weir – No one wears the Green Jacket like Mike.
