How to Customize a Golf Club

Customization is easy and worth the effort! In just a few minutes, we can quickly show you how to customize a golf club.

Bobby Jones, one of the greatest golfers to play the game, once said, “Golf is played on a five-and-a-half inch course…the space between your ears.” While it is true that golf is a mental game, you still need the right equipment for your game.

In the dark days of golf, there was no such thing as a customized club! In fact, you were often lucky to play with a club that even resembled the size you should play with. Often clubs were too short and made it awkward to hit the ball, or too long also making it awkward and often near impossible.

Today’s advances in club making make it economical and easy to customize your clubs. By following the simple steps outlined, you will be on your way to playing some of the best golf you will ever experience.

The simple process of how to customize a golf club will walk you through the following:

* Understand the difference between Steel and Graphite Shafts

* Understand how to choose the correct Shaft Length

* Understand the importance of Grip Size

* Understand how to choose the proper Shaft Flex for your golf clubs

All you will need is a pen/pencil and some paper, a measuring tape and maybe someone to help out with the measuring.

There are also some other great resources on how to customize a golf club. One of the best is from the companies is Hireko Golf.

Hireko has great information on how to customize a golf club, along with great prices on customized golf clubs. I have ordered multiple clubs from this site and have been very pleased with the performance and feel.

There are many other companies that will show you how to customize a golf club, however, I find the clubs from Hireko to be of the highest quality.  One thing that you need to watch out for when purchasing clubs is that you do not purchase from a shady dealer.  From shady dealer, I mean a company that does not sell quality clubs.  There are clubs that are called knock-offs that are really just low quality clubs not worth using.  Hireko is actually a club maker, not just a knock-off supplier, which allows them to control quality.

Personally I recommend the Power Play Caiman Titanium Driver or the Acer Mantara Titanium Driver for drivers and the Acer XK Iron for irons, but certainly, take a look at the others and decide what is best for you.
