The first thing you have to be able to do in order to hit a great drive, or any great shot, is picture the shot going where you want it to go. You have to be able to have a mental picture of the exact shot you want to hit. You have to be able to picture in your mind where you want the ball to go and how you are going to get it there.
If you cannot mentally picture the ball going where you want it to go, then you will never be able to get it there. So next time you step up to the tee box, take your time, picture the perfect drive you want, and stick the ball right down the middle of the fairway.
